Marcela is a fertility specialist who also performs gynaecological surgery and general obstetrics at St George Private and Kareena Private Hospitals, so she is able to help you with a wide range of fertility concerns as well as early pregnancy care and delivery.
She firmly believes in supporting her patients through the various journeys of their fertility treatments, and enjoys the reward of delivering babies safely, whether they are conceived naturally or through IVF.
Marcela always takes the time to explain the reasons behind her decisions so you are fully informed about the risks, benefits, and likely outcomes associated with such advice. She is also able to consult in Spanish if required.
Marcela graduated in medicine with Sydney University, and specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a fellowship from the Royal College of Australian Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She completed further training in reproductive endocrinology with IVF Australia, also has a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Genetics, and a Master’s degree in Reproductive Medicine.
Her special interests include recurrent miscarriages, polycystic ovarian syndrome, menstrual disorders and infertility.
